A Symphony Orchestra Under the Stars

One of the most beautiful summer experiences in Montreal is the Montreal Symphony Orchestra's (OSM) open-air concert, held on the Olympic Park Esplanade.

What's the OSM summer concert like? It's an open-air event with a very relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere: you can bring your chair or blanket, find your spot, and enjoy symphonic music under the stars. It's an excellent option if you're looking for activities to do with children in Montreal during the summer.

In the 2026 edition, conducted by Venezuelan Rafael Payare 🇻🇪, we heard works by Strauss, Beethoven, and Ravel, as well as music by Pink Floyd and Madonna arranged for the symphony orchestra, along with the OSM choir and four opera singers.
